    Get the Sky package, thats what i did and you get the full monty (apart from films & sport which is optional if you fancy a flick one night just pay a one off for a box office movie) then you can disregard all the other people like BT, Tiscali etc etc and it’s cheaper and easier to manage.

    I think you will find that you can’t access broadband through a cable companies telephone line, you’ll need a BT line :(

    Virgin is the only company that do cable. Any other ISP you use you are required to have a BT phoneline for which you will have to pay line rental for. BT are the only ones who can put the line in and that would cost you about L125.

    So the truth is, either stay with Virgin or have a phone line. Even with Sky TV you are required to have a phone line connected to their TV top set box for the first year.
